Sept 8 Off the grid- put it this way Elba isn't exactly the hotspot for technology so we're still out of wi-fi. After an adventurous morning around the steep and narrow cobbled footpaths of Marciana we took a dip in the sea at Sant Andrea - a popular beach with the speedo-wearing contigent. The water visibility is stunning...and among other things I saw a school of pipefish.
Later, we checked out a local trail in prep for Stacy's b-day adventure to the top of Elba's highest peak and we were lucky enough to spot some beautiful big horn sheep, including a large ram with a full set of horns! They are not native to the island; they were introduced for hunting. But cool to see nonetheless!
