Well, we finally made it to the Cinque Terre amidst a boatload (or better perhaps a "train-load") of other tourists. It's quite the hotspot and probably the most Brits and Americans Stacy and I have heard so far this trip. After some initial confusion and the helpful tips from a local inoteca owner we found our little rental appartamento in Corniglia (overlooking the center of town and the sea to our delight). We hung out at the wine bar chatting with the super friendly owner and sampling some phenomenal local wines. We picked up two bottles to cool before the wild bunch's arrival. They arrived soon enough and we went out to dinner right on the piazza...drank too much wine..slept like crap...and that's just the first night of the cinque persone on the Cinque Terre!
